Policeman for a day

SANDTON - REACH For A Dream Foundation fulfilled the dream of another child faced with a life-threatening illness.

Thapelo Ntoa (11) was accompanied to the Sandton Police Station by his mother, Sibongile and Taryn Seegers, a dream co-ordinator for the foundation. Courtesy of Constable David Mothapo of the Sandton police, the foundation and the Sandton Community Police Forum, Ntoa was able to play out his dream of being a policeman for one day.

The foundation aims to bring joy into the lives of children fighting a life-threatening illness, and they always go out of their way to fulfil dreams the children have.

Ntoa told the foundation that he wanted to be a policeman for a day because that’s what he wanted to be when he grew up. Mothapo showed Ntoa what it was like to be a policeman by driving in a police car, touring the police station and visiting the cells.

Seegers said Ntoa arrived in style at the police station in his favourite car, a Lamborghini. “He has always wanted to ride in a Lamborghini and he got his dream,” said Seegers.

Ntoa loved his day as a policeman, and expressed his gratitude to Reach For A Dream and the policemen involved for making his day special.
