Kyalami to experience water interruption from 9am to 4pm
KYALAMI – Kyalami will experience a water interruption on 13 May due to routine maintenance.
Johannesburg Water will position a stationary water tank at the Engen garage on Main Road in Kyalami to assist residents.
The interruption is scheduled to take place from 9am to 4pm for all extensions of Kyalami Glen, Kyalami Estate, Barbeque Downs as well as Plooysville.
Millicent Kabwe of Johannesburg Water said the interruption is due to maintenance that Johannesburg Water is conducting on a supply valve. “This is part of a routine maintenance plan that we have for all our infrastructure. A maintained infrastructure renders efficient service, hence it is important for us to perform this work,” said Kabwe.
Kabwe added that although some residents will still have water during the scheduled hours of maintenance, the pressure will be lower than normal until the process is completed. She said the interruption is a planned one and residents have been informed seven days prior.
“Other than that [alluding to the provision of the stationary water tank] families can collect and store water tonight in preparation from the temporary disruption,” she said.
