Finding your financial freedom
BRYANSTON - PSG, an independent financial services group, recently hosted a Traders’ Forum at Bryanston Country Club.
Shaun van den Berg, the head of client education at the group, discussed the merits to both trading and investing, as well as what one requires to be successful. “It is said that most people do not know what they want in life. The same can be said about investors and traders. Although both groups want to make money in the market, many people don’t know how they are going to do it,” said Van den Berg.
He added that the road to financial success includes finding more than one income. “It is easier now than 20 years ago because of the derivatives,” explained Van den Berg.
He also said people choose to trade in the market for financial freedom. “As a trader, you want to have a weaker dollar,” he added.
Some of the guests attending the forum described financial freedom as having an active income and having money that works for you. Van den Berg went on to say that to become an investor or trader, one needs to be patient. “Become a consistently profitable trader and stick to the trading plan,” he said.
