City Varsity rewards student
JOBURG - City Varsity held an exclusive and exciting competition, getting the students in high spirits, with one of them in line to win the grand prize.
City Varsity held the event at the campus, situated in Braamfontein, where all the students of the academy turned up to find out if they were the lucky winner of the brand new red metallic Mini Cooper to the value of R300 000.
Before drawing the name of the random lucky winner of the car, the event was opened by performers from the campus who showcased their singing, rapping and beat boxing skills.
The MC of the event was a celebrity friend of the varsity and popular South African actor, Tumisho Masha.
“Learn how to be tenacious and persevere,” he encouraged the students.
“No one is going to give you anything in this industry.”
He gave the students some much-needed advice about the real, working world and encouraged them to work hard for what they want in life.
The performer for the day was South African rapper, Reason.
He kicked off the show with a bang, by giving one of the beat boxing students a taste of the limelight and performing a rap to the beat box sounds.
With such great chemistry on stage, Reason and Masha gave the students quite the show and finally drew the name of the lucky winner from the sealed entry box.
The winner of the brand new Mini Cooper was Hope Vilakazi, who wasted no time getting to the stage to claim her new car.
“I need to show the students who are here that are trying to get qualifications that it is important to study and enhance your natural talent and skills,” said Masha.
