Cycling for a cause

PAULSHOF - Kyle McCoy, a Grade 6 pupil at St Peter's Preparatory School, recently donated R8 100 to the FreeMe Rehabilitation Centre, located at the Rietfontein Nature Reserve in Paulshof.

Carol Mitchell, head of marketing for the centre, said, “Kyle had listened to a short presentation at school by Peggy-Ann Mist, who spearheads our educational team, and was so inspired that he made the decision to raise money for our centre.”

McCoy rode the Cape Town Cycle Tour on a tandem bike with his father, Steve McCoy, after contacting friends and family to make donation for his ride for a purpose,” said Mitchell.

She added, “We are thrilled to hear that Kyle has been inspired by our work and we wish him all the success with his future cycling adventures.”
