School staff challenges themselves

BROADACRES - Broadacres Farm Nursery School showed their teachers the power of teamwork during their annual team-building experience.

During the last weekend of February, 21 teachers from the school went to Tilodi Wilderness, a lodge in Waterberg.

According to Lee Ann Bruce, principle of the school, the trip started at 8am on the Friday morning with coffee, croissants and a brief about the very first challenge which needed to be completed during the bus trip to Tilodi. The challenge involved the design and manufacture of beautiful wedding dresses, using nothing but toilet paper.

During the weekend, many other challenges were undertaken by the school staff, including Masterchef-style cooking challenges, quizzes, singing, dancing and acting.

“The objective of building our team and getting to know each other better was most certainly achieved through the laughter and hysterics,” said Bruce. ” Through the fun though, we actually worked hard to meet the requirements of each challenge as we are all, by nature, rather competitive.”

Bruce thanked Tilodi and their staff for an exceptionally-organised weekend and delicious meals.
