Reach for a dream looking for volunteers

JOBURG - Non-profit organisation, Reach for a Dream Foundation is looking for volunteers for its Slipper Day campaign.

The foundation fulfils the dreams of children fighting life-threatening illnesses. This enables children to experience a fun aspect of life, which they often don’t get to enjoy because of their illness.

The Slipper Day campaign is an initiative aimed at raising funds through the selling of stickers which allow for one to wear his or her slippers to school, work and anywhere, in support of Reach for a Dream.

Those who are interested in giving back to the community, and are able to contribute time to a good cause, are invited to assist the foundation in promoting the campaign.

According to Reach for a Dream public relations and marketing co-ordinator, Sibongile Khulu, volunteers would visit schools together with the organisation to promote the campaign, sell stickers or deliver stickers to participating schools.

“Slipper Day is one of our major fundraising and awareness campaigns and your assistance will make a significant difference in the lives of children,” she said.
