St Peter’s College is Madd about their new centre

SUNNINGHILL - The St Peter's College music, art, dance and drama (Madd) centre is just about ready to open its doors.

St Peter’s headmaster, Murray Thomas hosted a blessing ceremony on 14 January, the first day of the school’s academic year.

The ceremony was an intimate and traditional affair attended by the school staff, council members, parents’ association, prefects and special guests. The special guests were Graham Howarth, the school’s beloved former headmaster, and Lebogang Montjane, executive director of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa, who is also coincidentally a St Peter’s old boy.

Bishop Steve Moreo of the Anglican Diocese of Johannesburg conducted the ceremony which included blessing each and every one of the Madd studios, the creative arts computer room, auditorium and classrooms.

The school is extremely proud of the their new Madd centre and would like to invite the public to attend their vibrant official exhibition opening on 17 March between 6 and 8pm.
