On the evening of Thursday 8 January, the farm owner was beaten to death while his wife was severely assaulted by male suspects who had broken into their home in Lindley, near Lanseria. The suspects allegedly fled the scene with firearms they had stolen from the house.
It was reported that police arrested three suspects for the murder of the farm owner and the attempted murder of his wife on 11 January.
The police are reportedly still looking for another three people connected to the incident.
