Bryanston pupils come out tops with matric results

SANDTON - Bryanston High School pupils did the school proud ahead of the release of their matric results. The school saw an impressive 23 distinctions from its pupils, with Kiara O'Connell getting eight distinctions.

O’Connell, the school’s top achiever, received distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, physical Science, life sciences, accounting, life orientation and advanced programme mathematics, an Independent Examinations Board registered subject in which she achieved 96 percent, the highest in the district.

She is also awaiting results for another IEB subject she took, according to marketing co-ordinator Lauren Streng, with a high possibility of a distinction for the subject as well.

Robynne Reid also impressed with six distinctions in mathematics, physical science, life sciences, geography, history and life orientation.

Chelsea Alexander, Stefan Minkov, Raheema Ravat, Tanyaradzwa Sigauke, Mohamed Irfan Seedat and Brendon Ndlovu all did the school proud when they received five distinctions each.

A total of 155 pupils from the high school wrote the 2014 final exams.
