Mall makes wishes come true

FOURWAYS - Fourways Mall is all for sharing this Christmas with a holiday season campaign to raise funds for six children with cancer to make their dreams come true.

The All 4 Sharing Smiles campaign is running for three weeks at Fourways Mall, from 20 November to 14 December. Shoppers can show their support of children living with cancer by purchasing cancer ribbons at R10 each. Promoters are set up near entrance 2, geared to give customers more information on the six children who Fourways Mall has chosen to support.

The funds raised through the sale of the ribbons during this period will go directly towards making the six children’s Christmas wishes come true. “This is our second year raising funds to grant Christmas wishes for kids with cancer and we feel honoured to be able to assist the six families this Christmas and be a part of sharing their smiles,” said Marjike Arran, marketing manager of Fourways Mall.

“We are challenging our customers and their friends and families to visit the Mall in support of the six kids and are hoping for a sell-out campaign to raise enough funds to make it a Christmas they will remember.”

This year, Fourways Mall’s goal is to raise R30 000 from the campaign.

The six children who are being campaigned for are Thabile Bungane (3) who has liver cancer, Gemma Putter (3) who has leukemia, Anne-Marie Tewitz (6) who has a brain tumour, Ofentse Choma (3) who is battling cancer of the eye, Nathan Hogan (5) who is fighting neuroblastoma and Karla Kriel (5) who has kidney cancer.
