Residents encouraged to attend hearing
MAGALIESSIG - Fourways residents have one last chance to make their stand either for or against the building of a Makro superstore in Magaliessig.
On 18 November, the Makro appeal hearing will continue with the final verdict from the township’s planning board expected to be be delivered. Makro is appealing a ruling by the City of Joburg mayoral committee that denied their application to a superstore at the corner of Leslie Avenue and Merrow Lane in Magaliessig.
The Magaliessig Action Forum is encouraging residents to try attend the hearing even if it’s just for an hour or two as it is imperative that residents show their support either for or against the building of the store.
The hearing, which should be the last segment of the overall Makro appeal hearing, will take place on 18 November at City Life Church in Lonehill. The hearing starts at 9:15am.
