Century Properties fulfills dreams

FOURWAYS - Century Property Developments brought hope and courage to ill children.

Developers of the Blue Hills Equestrian Estate and Waterfall Country Estate have lent their hands in fulfilling their social responsibilities to the community.

Century Property Developments are heavily involved with the Reach For A Dream Foundation, which seeks to fulfill dreams of terminally-ill children by providing hope and courage to them.

According to Anne Vicente, a representative of Century, they were approached by the foundation to fulfill a dream of a child with life-threatening testicular cancer.

“His dream was to watch a Pirates soccer match live,” she said. In fulfilling the youngster’s dream, the foundation approached Century to ask for someone who loves soccer to accompany him to the match. Onest Ndlovu from the marketing department at Century is a Pirates fan and gladly agreed to accompany the little boy to the match. “The first activity of the day was to go to Gold Reef City with the boy’s whole family, who had flown up from East London,” said Vicente. After the theme park, they headed to the stadium where he anticipated the match and was so excited that he refused to put on his jersey as suggested by his mother she exclaimed. The overwhelming feedback from Ndlovu was the little boy’s bravery in facing his illness. Once again, the Reach For A Dream Foundation gave hope to a youngster who is courageously coming to terms with his condition.
