Ark over-run by adorable puppies

CHARTWELL - Ark Animal in Chartwell has some adorable puppies and dogs up for adoption.

The centre is one of the leading rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing shelters in South Africa. They are a non-profit organisation which specialises in the homing and care of puppies as well as pregnant dogs.

Candice Eilertsen of the shelter said that Ark is currently over-run by puppies looking for good homes.

Manager Tracy Otto, said the adoption fee of R900 included inoculations, a rabies shot, de-worming and sterilisation when the puppy reaches six months of age.

The shelter relies on donations from the community to give their canine residents veterinary care, food and quality living conditions. To raise the funds needed to continue their work, Ark Animal Centre will be hosting a charity golf day on 4 September at the Dainfern Golf Course. The cost is R2 800 a four-ball which includes dinner. For more information about the golf day contact Jemima Ellis.
