Suspect nabbed in nick of time
KYALAMI- One suspect was arrested for an attempted house break-in on Pine Road in Kyalami.
According to Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela, the resident was alerted to three men in his yard by a co-worker on his property.
Tlamela said the co-worker witnessed one of the suspects attempting to open a sliding door.
She said the resident immediately pressed the panic button and the security company was quick to respond and searched the area.
Tlamela said the security company found an unknown man hiding under a tree and apprehended him.
Midrand police arrested and detained one of the suspects, however police have yet to arrest the two suspects who accompanied him, as they fled the scene.
Tlamela encouraged residents and community members to contact the police with any information regarding this incident.
