Children clean Pipeline

KYA SAND - A Craigavon-based church group initiated a community clean-up in Pipeline informal settlement in Kya Sand.

Chumani Magwa of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints explained that the church wanted to help the less fortunate members of their community, and decided that Pipeline informal settlement was a place that needed their help.

The church group lead the children of the Pipeline community in a clean-up of their surroundings. The children were enthusiastic and dedicated to cleaning up the settlement and worked hard to pick up litter in their community. After the clean-up the church group handed out toys and magazines to the children as well as fruit and juices. The day ended with face-painting and a friendly soccer match between the church group and the children of Pipeline informal settlement.
