Young golfer swings into action

FOURWAYS - The world’s best young golfers, aged between five and 18, descended on Scotland for the prestigious US Kids Golf European Championship at the end of May.

Players from 42 countries competed in this European premier junior golf tournament to showcase the next generation of stars.

The talented young Gauteng golfer Kaiyuree Moodley (13) in Grade 7 at Crawford Preparatory Lonehill, finished second out of 31 girls in an amalgamated age group, which combined girls aged 13 and 14. She was one of the youngest players in this division.

Moodley also qualified to represent the International Team which played against Western Europe in the Van Horn Cup. Not only did Moodley win her match, the International Team won the event.

Principal of Crawford Preparatory Lonehill, Dean Marsh congratulated Moodley on her remarkable achievement and wished her well for her future in golf.
