Hub warms up Diepsloot

The Hub team organised a blanket drive and encouraged customers to get involved. All of the store’s staff took up the cause to gather as many blankets as possible and managed to collect 300 blankets in less than two months.

During peak shopping hours at the store, the staff would announce the drive every 15 minutes to ensure that customers also had an opportunity to participate.

The Hub team joined Change the World Trust, a non-profit organisation which runs educational programmes in Diepsloot, to distribute the blankets.

The chosen recipients were children of a crèche managed and run by The Family of Africa, a local non-profit organisation which aids orphans and children affected by HIV.
