Meetings to discuss infrastructure
NIETGEDACHT- There will be two public meetings to discuss the proposed new bulk water pipelines, sewer pipelines and associated infrastructure from Cosmo City to Lanseria.
The proposed infrastructure upgrades will also affect the Lion Park and Farmall areas.
The meetings will both be held on 23 March, however one will be at 9am at Thabo Mbeki Village and the other will be at 11am at Das Landhaus Guestlodge.
Residents are advised to read the background information document which is available from MGTD Environmental.
The purpose of the document is to inform the public and interested or affected parties about the proposed project and to obtain comments and input. It also serves to share information about the proposed project and the environmental assessment process which will be of relevance to potentially affected parties.
This will give interested or affected parties the opportunity to register and comment. According to MGTD Environmental, the draft basic assessment report is also available on request in hardcopy or electronic format and is available for 40 days for public review and comment.
The report can be viewed until 7 April.
The report is available from the MGTD Environmental offices in Cresta. The deadline for submission of comments is 19 April.
