Alleged shooting near Sanral

Tweets were first generated by emergency services who were on their way to a reported shooting near the Midrand Sanral offices.

Tweets have since emerged that the shooting was an alleged hijacking near the offices and Rooihuiskraal Road had been closed off.

Lerato Shawane tweeted that on Samrand Road between Rietspruit and Rooihuiskraal roads, it looked as though the perpetrators had been apprehended.

A Midrand Reporter journalist was on her was to the scene and would update shortly.

The alleged shooting came after Sanral’s Midrand offices were evacuated twice last week after an unconfirmed white powder substance was found in two separate envelopes on two occasions.
