‘Monte murder’ case postponed again

RANDBURG - Montecasino murderers released on bail again.

The ‘Monte’ murder case has been postponed to 26 March.

News24 reported that the case was postponed in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on 16 January for further investigation, as well as bail applications for the two accused, Marushka Robinson and Jean-Pierre Malan.

Prosecutor Yusuf Baba told the court that the State had no problem with the two accused applying for bail.

However, he reminded the court that the case was complex and could not be resolved speedily.

“It’s not a straightforward murder case; it can never be completed in a short period of time,” said Baba.

The two suspects are accused of murdering Dustan Blom and leaving his body in the boot of a car in a Montecasino parkade in September last year (‘Decomposing body found in car’, Fourways Review, week ending 28 September 2013).
