The annual review is to determine the categories of properties, such as residential or business, which will then be rated according to a tariff.
The City of Johannesburg implemented the policy, which outlines the city council’s property rating process, in 2008.
The current rates policy is available on www.joburg.org.za.
Residents and interested parties are invited to comment and make suggestions on possible changes to the current policy.
