Hotel group lends helping hand
MAGALIESSIG - City Lodge Fourways held a breakfast charity handover for three prominent charities which the hotel group supports.
Representatives of the hotel group handed over cheques to the delighted beneficiaries, Hospice, Cansa and Food and Trees for Africa.
Every time someone buys a cup of tea of coffee at any of the hotel groups’s 21 Road Lodges countrywide, a percentage is donated to Cansa. Since 2001 the hotel group has donated more than R1.2 million to Cansa.
Patrons who make online bookings to any City Lodge hotel are given a choice of ticking a charity beneficiary box when making a booking. Patrons can choose to donate to Hospice or Food and Trees for Africa. The online booking donation has made it possible for City Lodge to hand over R62 000 to Hospice and R40 500 to Food and Trees for Africa.
Divisional director of sales and marketing for the group, Peter Schoeman said they were very happy to be aiding extremely worthy causes in a meaningful way by making donations on behalf of their guests.
