EFF march delayed
Drama at the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) planned march against e-tolling has delayed proceedings

The march has commenced and EFF members are proceeding to the Department of Transport and Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane’s office in Simmonds Street, to hand over a memorandum.

This after police blocked EFF members from joining about 100 other members who were already gathered at Mary Fitzgerald Square.
EFF chief of security General Hlatshwayo said police stopped EFF members who had arrived from the North West by train, at Park Station.
“They (police) said our members do not have a pass to embark on this march. This is something we forgot we had to arrange for. Our leadership has gone to Park Station to solve the issue,” he added.
Asked if Julius Malema would be joining the march, Hlatshwayo declined to comment further.
Among familiar faces at the march include EFF spokesperson Patric Sindane, prisoners’ rights activist Golden Miles Budu and political analyst Andile Mngxitama.
