Langhams launches in style

BEVERLEY- Langhams in Beverley launched their executive conferencing facility in style.

In keeping with the theme of the conferencing facility the launch was elegant, with representatives from various events companies sampling the unique Langhams experience.

CEO Leandro Le Roux explained that the venue was once an old, dilapidated restaurant. He said that although the task of revamping the old building was a huge one they wanted to retain the history of Langhams while taking it to the next level.

He said, “We also fixed up the old windmill on the property and fitted new pumps. Now the windmill has become our trademark.”

The executive conference facility has three conference rooms, one with state-of-the art video conferencing technology.

An outdoor conferencing facility, which will be able to seat up to 400 people, is also in the process of being built. Langhams also offers guests a complimentary shuttle service from Lanseria Airport.

Le Roux explained that Langhams is trying as far as possible to be green.

He said, “We pump our water straight from a borehole with the help of the windmill and are looking into solar panelling for electricity. We are also committed to growing indigenous flora on our property and each guest at Langhams receives a recycled forest notebook and pen with their conference pack.”

Le Roux explained that the vision for Langhams was to have a “sports lifestyle conference facility”.

There is already a tennis academy and a cross-fit training facility on the property but Langhams is also starting work on a state-of-the-art hydro facility, complete with underwater treadmills.

Le Roux said, “We want to give guests a unique experience that makes them feel special and well-looked after.”
