Buy local at Soweto expo this weekend
IN The run-up to Heritage Day on 24 September, various local companies and small businesses are showcasing their products and services in proudly South African style at the Soweto Festival Expo.
Proudly South African, which has endorsed the popular annual event, will also be exhibiting at the expo to remind consumers about the importance of supporting and buying local products and services.
The Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, Sports Sector Education and Training Authority is also offering training aimed at growing the businesses successfully.
The training will focus on sales, marketing, customer service and money management among other topics.
The expo started on 20 September and will end on 22 September at the Joburg Expo Centre, Nasrec. Tickets are available at the gate.
The event also promises top-notch entertainment and activities including a high-energy outdoor activation, a children play area, a fun fair, braai area, VIP area with jazz lounge and much more.
