Seniors head to Lonehill for coffee

The senior citizens of Lonehill are invited to join the senior citizens coffee club.

After consultation with the Lonehill Residents Association and recognising the need for a senior citizens coffee club in Lonehill, Dr Adele Romanis, a private practice clinical psychologist in Lonehill, opened the first meeting on 20 February this year. Since the club’s inception, membership has grown from month to month as it grows in popularity among Lonehill’s senior residents.

“Various topics of interest are discussed and presented by Dr Romanis each week and group participation is encouraged,” explained Kelly Braum of the Lonehill

Community Improvement Initiative.

“Over and above the monthly meetings, additional informal get-togethers have started taking place, for those who have time for a cup of coffee and a chat in-between the regular meetings,” Braum said. The next group meeting will take place on 18 September from 10am to 11.30 at the Lonehill Village Church, Crestwood Drive, Lonehill. All are welcome. There is no need to book, just arrive on the given date and time, and there are no costs involved.
