According to the school’s Lynette Gray, seven riders achieved first places in the various categories. “All the riders who made a Gauteng Central team rode in at least two classes at the show,” she explained.
She said the school had some wonderful results and many of their riders have made it into a Gauteng team. The school boasts 18 riders in different categories who were selected for the Gauteng A Team, 14 riders were selected for the Gauteng B Team, and 6 riders in the C Team.
The inter-schools finals will take place at the Gauteng Horse Society from 22 to 24 September. The South African National Equestrian Schools Association is also hosting their annual prize-giving at Beaulieu College on 19 September. More than 800 competitors are expected at this event.
