Local models show off their talent

LONEHILL – Models from Ace Models International in Lonehill showed off what they've learned during a safari-themed photoshoot.

Local models from Ace Models International celebrated their hard work with a safari-themed photoshoot.

Cathy Heaton bought Ace Models Johannesburg North in January 2019 and grew the studio from six models to 54 models.

Heaton said, “Teaching people to love themselves is first and foremost my passion so every class I present is geared towards self-love, affirmation and confidence building…Together with modeling and deportment, we teach social skills, ettiquette, social media safety, building a brand, anti-bullying, grooming and styling, public speaking and posture correction.”

Every term the academies are given a theme for their term photoshoot. They enjoyed a luxurious safari-themed shoot with photographers Debra Lee Photography and Richard van Zyl.

“Under the soarching sun and the smell of the African bush we shot from 6am to 6:30pm. Tired, dusty and full of the love of life, each one of us feeling connected and happy with a sense of belonging – to a group of new friends, a family, to our Africa,” added Heaton.
