Guests enjoy heartfelt Mother’s Day movie

MAGALIESSIG - Movie reminds guests the importance of that special kind of love such as a mother's love.

Mothers together with their sons, daughters and husbands were brought together by the screening of Mother’s Day at Movies@Monte on 5 May.

The big-hearted comedy invites the audience to enjoy the laughter, tears and love experienced by three generations who come together in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.

The movie stars Jennifer Aniston as Sandy, Kate Hudson as Jesse, Julia Roberts as Miranda and Jason Sudekis as Bradley as they all deal with mother-related issues.

The plot sees Sandy as a stressed-out, single mom who learns that her ex-husband, Henry (played by Timothy Olyphant) is about to marry a younger woman.

Her friend Jesse is a fitness enthusiast who does not tell her parents that she has a family with a lesbian woman. Bradley is a widower who tries to raise two daughters on his own while Miranda is too busy with her career to worry about having children but ends up finding out more about her long-lost daughter. When their respective problems start coming to a head, the Mother’s Day holiday takes on a special meaning.

The movie is directed by Garry Marshall, the music composed by John Debney, the story by Matthew Walker and screenplay by Tom Hines, Anya Kochoff and Lily Hollander.

Mother’s Day can be seen in cinemas nationwide.
