Ali is an ill dog who had two crushed front legs was sent to Woodrock in a terrible condition leaving her cripple. She was feeding three of her pups at the time. During that time three other pups were neglected because their mom had died. Ali was given these starving pups to feed and fortunately their pups managed to suckle. She has since gained weight and the pubs are doing very well. The pubs will be separated from Ali this weekend and she will also be sterillised. The same day Ali was rescued, Libby a chow cross Labrador had a barbed wire embedded in her neck. The wire damaged her esophagus and her collar bones. Libby has undergone major surgery and is recovering well. Her wound are healing and is she improving in her social repair. Once her wounds are fully healed she will be able to go to the parlour. Libby has a strong, determined nature who loves a human touch.

Woodrock Animal Rescue appeals to the public to help with donors in order to assist the vet cover its bills. The rise in the cost of living affects the ability for the vet to meet their demands. To offer assistance please contact Stella on 065 155 4439.
