Taxis out of hand on William Nicol

FOURWAYS - Claire says the taxis in Fourways have gotten out of control.

Further to the article, Taxis terrorise pointsmen, I would also like to report that traffic and taxis are getting out of hand.

I live opposite the Junxion Centre/Church on William Nicol Drive and drive on a daily basis to and from Bryanston.

Heading up to the robots at Dainfern you have taxis on the left on the dirt road creating their own lane. Then you have taxis using the right-hand turning lane to create their own lane.

By the time you reach the robots, there are now three lanes of traffic trying to cross the robots, and on any given day you can count up to 10 taxis cutting in using the right-hand lane.

They bully and intimidate you and its getting ridiculous.

Now adding to that are other drivers who think it’s their right to follow the taxis, and also cut in.

Its absolute chaos and perhaps the only way around this would be to have a continuous police presence.

What do you think the solution to the taxi problem is? Go to the Fourways Review looklocal page and post a comment on the time line.
