Cavaliere Equine Centre riders stood above the crowd at the Fourways graded and training show
Cavaliere Equine Centre excelled at the Fourways Riding Centre show, featuring standout performances like Gabriella Carnell’s win in junior jumping.
The Cavaliere Equine Centre riders shone at the Fourways Riding Centre graded and training show, held on September 14 and 15. This two-day event offered both competitive and training opportunities, catering to equestrians of all levels, from beginners to advanced riders.

The first day featured graded classes where riders could earn points based on the heights they jumped. It was an exciting day filled with energy and camaraderie among participants.
The following day was dedicated to a more relaxed training show, allowing younger, nervous horses and riders to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Claudia Graunke, coach and the owner of Cavaliere Equine Centre, shared her excitement. “Over the weekend we proudly fielded ten riders, some of whom were competing in their very first show. It was incredibly rewarding to witness their progress and see the deep joy on their faces as they navigated this new experience.
“We also brought out some of our baby horses for their inaugural outing, showcasing our team’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of equestrian talent.”
Among the standout performances from Cavaliere Equine Centre was Gabriella Carnell who excelled in the graded 90cm junior show jumping classes, achieving a remarkable win. This was Carnell’s first show with her new teammate, Cody.
Graunke reflected on the accomplishments of the Fourways show. “As we look ahead to nearing the end of the competition season, several important events are on the horizon: the Youth Champs from September 21 to 24, the SANESA Nationals from September 25 to 30, and another Fourways graded training show on September 28 and 29.”
Cavaliere Equine Centre will be hosting its training show on October 12 and the season will end on December 10. Graunke explained that their collective goal is to support one another and to have fun doing what they love most.
“Our dedicated training regimen ensures that both horses and riders remain fit and ready for the challenges ahead. We prioritize the health of our beloved equine partners as well, implementing physiotherapy and chiropractic care to ensure they are in top form,” she said.
“With our sights set on the upcoming shows, we are excited about the future. The journey of equestrianism is not just about competition, it’s about growth, development, and community.”
