In the spirit of giving back, the Buttercup family came together for Mandela Day, making sandwiches for the less fortunate and organizing a school-wide donation drive. The generosity of the little learners and their families allowed the school to donate educational toys to preschools in Diepsloot, bringing joy and learning opportunities to many young children in need. To cap off the term, they had a delightful Pyjama Day, where children and teachers alike enjoyed a cozy day at school in their favorite sleepwear.

“As we look ahead to term 3, there’s much to be excited about. Our springtime celebration will be a beautiful way to welcome the new season, filled with fun activities and outdoor play. We’re also looking forward to Grandparents Day, where our little learners will get to share their school experiences with their beloved grandparents. And of course, our annual Christmas Movie Night and Market will be the perfect way to end the year, bringing families together for festive fun and holiday cheer.” said Cindy Buttercup, the school’s principal.

“I am continuously amazed by the enthusiasm and kindness of our children and the dedication of our wonderful teachers,” Buttercup continued. “This past term has been a testament to the incredible community we have built here, where learning, compassion, and creativity flourish. I am so proud of our Buttercup children for their achievements and their willingness to give back to others. I am equally proud of our teachers, whose passion and hard work make every day at Buttercup Preschool special. As we look forward to term 3, I am excited about the opportunities we have to continue growing and making cherished memories together.”
