Learning and laughter fill the halls on Unity College’s 100th day

Unity College celebrated its 100th day of school with a festive event showcasing learner’s work and achievements.

As the learners of Unity College in Chartwell walked through the doors on the 100th day of school, they couldn’t help but feel a buzz of excitement in the air.

The hallways were decorated with colourful streamers and balloons, and the sound of chatter and laughter filled the classrooms.

“We used this day to highlight students’ work and engage in fun, educational activities that emphasise learning and growth,” said Unity’s marketing officer Michelle Kirk.

She added the day began with a showcase of the learners’ work, where each child proudly displayed their projects and achievements from the past 100 days. The room was filled with beaming parents and teachers who were left in awe at the progress and talent on display.

The learners have also engaged in a series of fun and educational activities, all centred around the theme of 100. They created intricate art projects, from collages to sculptures, using 100 buttons, beads, or other materials.

“In maths class, they played games and solved problems involving the number 100, testing their skills and knowledge.

“But the celebration was more than just a fun break from routine – it was also a chance to reflect on the value of persistence and dedication in education. The students saw firsthand how far they had come, and how much they had grown, in just 100 days.”
