Annemarie Mosterts hard work and dedication were cemented with a prestigious award.

Annemarie Mostert has become the talk of the town after winning the R100 000 cash prize along with other amazing goodies at the prestigious Woman of Stature Awards, held at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways.

But who is this remarkable woman who is currently a hot topic in the community group chats inspiring many to also leave a positive impact? Well, Mostert, is the founder and CEO of Mila Service, an organisation which revolutionalised corporate South Africa with impactful environmental, social, and governance solutions.

She is also married to community development initiatives, skills transfer, and education radiates through her multifaceted involvement in the performing arts, Rotary International, and the Sesego Foundation non-profit company, where she has enhanced the well-being of over 1 850 000 individuals.

She is involved in many other projects globally. It all paid off and she couldn’t be prouder. Mostert is the overall winner across all 12 categories of Woman of Stature Awards – a moment she will forever cherish.

“It was pure joy, not just for my work in education but also for the broader impact I’ve been able to make through my passion for service. I then turned to the founder of the awards, Charlotte du Plessis, and thanked her for her profound vision in creating a platform for us to shine.

“It’s a milestone propelling me to innovate and strive for excellence, significantly elevating my profile and opening new doors for opportunities and collaborations. It serves as a powerful motivator for continuous growth, emphasising the importance of embracing challenges and setting high standards. It has been transformative, reinforcing my passion for education and inspiring me to reach new heights in my career, reminding me of the achievements possible through dedication and lifelong learning.”

This milestone didn’t come easy, however – she has had her fair share of challenges but continued to chose to remain resilient. She said the biggest difficulty was maintaining the balance between personal, family, and work-life responsibilities.

“They required me to juggle multiple roles effectively. Managing the demands of innovative projects and collaborations brought its own set of complexities. Amidst these challenges, maintaining a focus on personal well-being and professional growth became crucial. With resilience and a strong support network, I navigated these hurdles, always seeking opportunities, disrupting conventional thinking, and adapting to a rapidly changing environment.”

Mostert advises people to stay curious and never stop learning. She said they should embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, disrupt the status quo, and always speak their truth.

“With this award as a springboard, I’m excited to expand my initiatives in education. I plan to design new business models that disrupt the status quo, always keeping the principles of truth, kindness, and positive peace at the forefront. Supporting and uplifting women will continue to be a priority as I aim for even greater impact in the years ahead.”
