Nova learners get rewarded for hard work
Grade 6 and 7 learners from Nova Pioneer School in Paulshof had their hard work rewarded with certificates.
Nova Pioneer School in Paulshof celebrated its academic excellence with a Cambridge Checkpoint Award ceremony.
The atmosphere was nothing short of excitement as the Grade 7 learners were rewarded with certificates for their hard work. The occasion also saw Grade 6 learners being recognised for successfully navigating checkpoint assessments in 2023.
According to communications officer Pule Letshweni, Cambridge Checkpoint Assessments are the exams that Grade 6 learners write at the end of their year. Results are given in the following year.
He said the ceremony was a momentous event that brought together learners, educators, and parents to celebrate the dedication and hard work of the young scholars.
“The presentation of the coveted Cambridge Checkpoint certificates to all the deserving Grade 7 learners acknowledging their commitment to academic excellence was the highlight of the day. A special moment of the ceremony was reserved for the top achievers, who were honoured with gleaming trophies for their exceptional performance in various subjects.”
The trophies were handed out to the learners by teacher Edna Lawrence, who highlighted the significance of their accomplishments and the positive impact they will have on their future endeavours.
