Family fun at school picnic

Cedarwood School hosts a picnic with fun-filled activities.

Cedarwood School hosted a family fun day for their learners to enjoy the premises of the school with their parents on November 4. There were a variety of activities to take part in including face painting, games and more. The parents were happy to come to the art corner to find their children’s work displayed.

One of the parents Reuben Khunoh said the day was a way of spending time with their children. “The picnic was ideal. This is how we can motivate our children to stay in school by showing them how much fun it is and motivating them to come to school,” he said. He elaborated that these events are very fruitful in a child’s academic life. “This is their way of unwinding and taking a break but the fact that it is within school premises makes it even better for them.”

Preparatory headmaster, Sudeshan Moodley spent time engaging with parents and was thrilled with the turnout.
“It was an absolutely amazing day filled with fun and excitement that parents, children, and staff thoroughly enjoyed,” he said. Meanwhile, deputy headmistress Shannon Jacobs was serving candy floss at the candy store. “This is very beautiful, and I hope the parents and children enjoyed themselves.”

Silver City Band entertained the crowd with live music.
