Fans crave for more mer-mazing moments during mermaid competition
The crowd was left in awe as they witnessed mesmerising performances by participants of the competition.
The third annual mermaid fitness competition named; Merfit Games was held on October 21 and was nothing short of spectacular. This time, they featured a variety of categories that showcased the remarkable skills of the participants.
“Our Merfit Games brought together an enthusiastic crowd of participants and spectators alike. It was a fantastic celebration of fitness, fun, and the magical world of mermaiding. The event featured thrilling performances, spirited competitions, and numerous activities for kids, including a waterslide and a mermaid crown building station,” said the owner of the Merschool, Izelle Nair.
The crowd was delighted to witness a mesmerising performance in the duo category, where Nina Wernick and her remarkable four-year-old daughter stole the show, and left fans craving for more. Their hard work paid off when they were rewarded with a well-deserved gold medal.
The event’s diverse categories allowed for family fun and participation, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience. In the individual categories, the winners were:
- Adults: Nina Wernick
- 9 – 13 years: Mila Da Luz
- 7 – 9 years: Raeye Bhagattjee
- 4 – 6 years: Ntsumi Madalane
