Community braai over crocodiles

People who were not afraid of a challenge ziplined over crocodiles.

Community members gathered in numbers at the Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park for a culinary fiesta with distinguished chefs who shared a few recipes on September 25.

The day was filled with lots of fun, a blend of gastronomy, adventure, and camaraderie. The braai fest was not only for adults but children too. They got a chance to indulge in some activities including face painting, gardening workshops and s’mores-making sessions.

“This was a time where we forgot about the outside world and just spent time with the family,” said one of the attendees, Zalene Nhlapo. There were daring activities such as the ‘Crocodile Fly-Over’ zipline, which some thrill-seekers took part in.

PR of Builders Warehouse, Katie Coetzee and Cindy Laufs enjoyed themselves and also ziplined over crocodiles.

“Over a hundred people graced us with their presence and tried new braai equipment which was very fun,” said the public relations of Builders, Katie Coetzee. “The event was a high-spirited day celebrating our diverse culture, braai is South Africa’s tradition of people coming together as one. I enjoyed the food and bonding with everyone.”

Enjoying themselves at the braai is Nokubonga and Rebecca Mkhwanazi.

” We would like to thank Janet Booysen from Omni Marketing Services and Frank Urzi the Merchandise Manager for gracing us with their presence. We also want to thank everyone who came out to have fun with us,” Coetzee added.
