Beaulieu College hosted its first heritage choir festival on September 19. The festival featured local schools in the area including Greenside High School, Reddam Helderfontein and Curro Midrand. The learners sang their hearts out and showed their talent on stage at the Beaulieu College School hall.
Learners were surprised by a famous guest appearance from the award-winning Gregory Maqoma. They were very excited to be graced with the presence of one of the most talented artists in their generation. Maqoma reminded the choristers how fortunate they are to be living in a time where they can celebrate their heritage together through music.
An educator of the school responsible for the vent, Chuma Mapoma, said all the learners and schools gave their stella performances and she loves the talent showcased at the event. “We thank every learner who participated and all the supporters of our event,” she added.
