Fourways wins action cricket Super League

The Fourways Cricket team has maintained its spot of being in the semi finals for two years in a row.

Fourways Action Sports senior action cricket team won the Super League after they finished second on the log.

Fourways beat Benoni in the semi-final and the defending champions, Falcons in the final.
“In the build-up to the final, we had lost to Benoni 93–52, ” said Fourways captain Clinton Moura.

“So it had extra added pressure on us as a team to perform better than before. We won the semi-final 80–75 guaranteeing us a place in the final.”
This was the second year in a row that Fourways played in the final. The game, as expected, was tough and it could have gone either way but after an intense 32 overs, Fourways overcame Falcons 75–66.

“Off the court, we are good friends but on the court, we are fierce enemies,” concluded Moura.

Fourways now shift their focus to the inter-provincial tournament which will be held at Midrand Action Sports Arena from October 17– 21.
