Ecopreneur and Afrolace founder Queen Mata was honoured in the Environmental Conservation Category for her bags that are designed from advertising banners. Her sustainable bags can be used for corporate gifts, women’s group events, and families as they range from cosmetic bags, laptop bags, travel bags and shopping bags.

“It is an amazing thing to be recognised for what you love doing. I started in 2019 with the bags and from then my business just grew, but the ceremony has helped me to network with other businesses and customers and definitely helped get my business to the public. It is not where we want to see ourselves, but it is progress in the right direction,” said Mata.
