Fourways preschool celebrates grandparents with learners

Junior Colleges Gardens in Fourways held their yearly Grandparents' Day where they enjoyed various activities.

If mum says no, ask granny. The bond between grandparent and grandchild is irreplaceable and was celebrated at a local preschool as it welcomed the grandparents for a morning of bonding.

Junior Colleges Gardens in Fourways was one of the Junior Colleges schools that took part in the fun event. Learners and their grandparents enjoyed a planting activity. The pot was gifted to each of the grandparents from the school with a picture of their grandchild on it.

Principal Bianca Durrant said grandparents play a crucial role in the upbringing of the children. “They are so loved and so vital to be present in our little ones’ lives. Today, they got to enjoy the variety of breakfast snacks as well as the small concert in the morning,” she said.
“We thank you all so much for being a part of this special day, thank you for all you are and for all that you do, you are appreciated, and we hope you felt that way today.”
