Learners, parents, and staff members took to a fun 3.5km run around the school while coloured powder was thrown over them by other learners.
Executive head Graham Bennetts said, “For the last few weeks, we have just been praying for the rain to go away as the weather here has been crazy. This turnout has been amazing.

“Last year, we had to cap it at 500 people. We cleared that this year quite comfortably. We also had families outside of the country who couldn’t participate but still bought tickets anyway just to support the charity.”

Bennetts said the school frequently was involved in community initiatives such as donations for non-perishable items and sanitary pads.
“We have a couple of things on the go already. We had collection points to hand over sanitary wear for girls which saw the college involved in that. It’s an ongoing thing. There isn’t one particular focus by one particular group as everyone helps each other out.”

After the event, some learners even took on the colourful route again and others gathered with friends and parents to enjoy music and food and drinks on sale as the sun set.
