Scores of petrol heads and motorsport fans attended the Kyalami 9 Hour a the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
The event was the second round in the Intercontinental GT Challenge with the third round set for Belgium’s Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in June later this year.
In-between all the action of the weekend on the track, various activities were available for attendees. The hospitality zone hosted several stalls for vendors, food, and drinks for spectators, as well as activities centred on cars and driving.
The WRT team’s BMW M4 GT3 driven by local driver Sheldon van der Linde alongside teammates Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts placed first overall. The BMW team finished 1.7 seconds ahead of the WRT team’s second BMW M4 car which was driven by Philipp Eng, Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin.
In third place was the Tresor Attempto Audi R8 LMS team of Mattia Drudi, Ricardo Feller and Patric Niederhauser.
