New year wish list set for Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club

A number of items for the Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club are on their new year’s wish list, and the ways community can get involved.

With the new year in swing, Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club listed several items on their wish list for 2023.

The public relations officer at the club, Stephen Margo said the club was able to achieve a lot last year and that there was the hope there would be continued success and aid for the charity organisation.

Rotarian for over 25 years, Christopher Thompson (right) assists in the Christmas Toy Drive to give children in hospitals and orphanages some festive cheer.

Some of the highlights achieved last year included the Christmas Toy Drive running for its 14th year in which toys are collected, wrapped according to age and gender and then distributed to children in hospitals and orphanages to bring some Christmas cheer.

The wish list includes:

  • The availability of a substantial amount of support and funding for new projects
  • A larger interest in the good work done by Rotary in the community and several new, active members. We are looking for members of the community willing to give of their time and expertise to assist the community in need
  • We meet once weekly on a Wednesday between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Anyone interested can contact me for further details and an invitation to a meeting
  • To be able to undertake several seriously required maintenance projects at Norscot Manor
  • To bring Norscot Manor back to its former self.
