Douglasdale community members come together to celebrate Diwali

Hindu and non-Hindu members of the Douglasdale community came together to celebrate Diwali: the festival of lights.

Diwali celebrations lit up a Douglasdale street just before lightning lit up the night sky.

Following their yearly promise of not using fireworks, the boomed-off Pipers and Condor community celebrated the religious holiday with many decorations and tea lights that lit trails on the floor and on house walls. The community mascot statue, Moai Zebs was also dressed up in Hindu traditional clothing.
