Fourways resident and staff member at Crawford International Lonehill Preparatory, Debbie Lynch has two communities dear to her heart when it comes to either grabbing a coffee to go or enjoying a good curry dinner.
Q: Where is your favourite place to grab a takeaway coffee, and why?
A: I like the Vida e Café in Pineslopes. I stop on my way home for shopping there.
Q: What’s the best place you would get a sweet treat from, and why?
A: It’s a new Lady Janes in Broadacres Shopping Centre. They have a new shop there that sells cakes like lemon meringue and all. I discovered them a month ago as I had gone to another shop there that closed down.

Q: If you could recommend a place to your friend who has children (a family-friendly place), which would you suggest, and why?
A: I think it depends on what they would want to do, but I would recommend Bounce at Fourways Mall or the putt-putt course as well. The parents can either chat among themselves or join in the fun.
Q: Describe your community in four words
A: I would say both Lonehill and Fourways communities are friendly, loving, helpful and we all work together. I live in a boom-gated area, and everyone is always willing to help one another.
Q: What is one activity you recently tried in your community?
A: I can say my favourite sport at the moment is Padel tennis. I love going to the court at the German Club in Paulshof. My 80-year-old mother-in-law plays as well, it is very easy to get into.
Q: On an evening you don’t really feel like cooking lunch or dinner, what is your go-to place, and why?
A: I would say Banjaara at Leaping Frog Shopping Centre. I always order from there as they have great curry dishes.
