TATENDA MUROMBA, Lonehill Village Church: It’s the place I feel the most welcome and have been attending since 2016. I used to be a part of the youth there but now I’m a youth leader and worship leader so I’m pretty involved there.
The Fourways Review headed out to Lonehill and Fourways to chat with residents and find out the hidden gems in these suburbs.
CHARLES MACKENZIE, Arirang Restaurant: It’s a Korean restaurant at the Leaping Frog Shopping Centre and the best Korean restaurant you could ever eat at. I’ve been going there for about a year and it needs more exposure for sure. I would say it’s important to book ahead of time because it does get a bit busy there.SIGRID OBLASSER, Mohavi Thai Restaurant: It’s on Kingfisher, but not too far from where I live. I enjoy Thai food and I’ve been there a few times as well. It’s not very easy to find Thai restaurants but I’m so glad I found one.NTEBO RAMOSEPELE, Montecasino: I’ve been going there since I was a teenager, and it’s just such a great place to visit. It caters to different age groups and I really like the environment there. Montecasino recently opened the restaurant Kream, and that’s a place I like visiting there.MELISSA HATTERSLEY, Starlight Lane Stables: I love visiting there as a horse person because they have a lot of animals you can see like bunnies you can feed, miniature ponies you can ride and feed, and they have a riding stable where you can learn to ride horses no matter your age.SHANNON SHUMBULA AND JADE NAIDOO, Lonehill Park: We come to this park on our lunch breaks as we don’t work too far. The fact that it’s a dog-friendly park as well makes it so much better because we love dogs so much. It’s a great place to relax and you can also enjoy the nature around as well.CRAIG CAVALIE, Mozambik Restaurant: Mozambik is a place that offers a ‘taste of escape’ as it accommodates families. I like this place because of the variety of meals they offer including seafood, chicken vegan food and steaks. I enjoy the one at Leaping Frog Shopping Centre and have been going there for years.
